(6F, 4M) Tonight’s show begins with an abstract (read: a woman and puppets) interpretation of The Seagull directed by Elvira, followed by a new play: Pippy Doodle’s Ice Cream Party. As Elvira’s play fails and the cast and crew prepare to put on the rest of the doubleheader, arguments and dynamics unfold parallel to The Seagull itself (which the characters acknowledge as being too similar to previous deconstructions of the play). As characters from The Seagull appear and try to alter the course of the play, Elvira recognizes that the final act will never change.
